Let us save you the trouble of an email - here are some of the questions we often get asked.
Our call for proposals (CFP) will open in early 2026. We run a combined CFP across all specialist tracks and the main conference. The CFP will be announced on social media and to the mailing list.
We typically take 4-6 weeks after CFP closes to review and finalise the conference program. We're aiming for approximately May ... but stay tuned for news and details!
Workshops will be announced throughout 2026 in partnership with our sponsors. If you would like to run a workshop, or would like to attend a workshop on a particular topic, please reach out to sponsor@pycon.org.au with introductions or suggestions!
PyCon AU 2026 has not announced details for streaming... yet.
We appreciate that streaming is an important aspect of the conference for some attendees who cannot make it in person. We are evaluating streaming options, including our dependency on early sponsorship commitments.
You are welcome to bring children under 12 to the event; however, a (free) ticket is required for each child under 12 who is attending.
This ticket is an add-on to an existing ticket purchase and is required for tracking venue capacity.
Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult guardian at all times. A Student ticket is required for children aged 12 or over.
